3月19日に、大学院生の菊地先生と中尾先生が博士（医学）の学位を授与されました。2人とも2021年4月に長崎大学大学院医歯薬学総合研究科
病態解析・診断学に入学し、研究に励んできました。菊地先生は「Clinical and microbiological
characteristics of bloodstream infection caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae
harboring rmpA in Japanese adults」で、中尾先生は「Molecular
and phenotypic characterization of Streptococcus pneumoniae isolates in
a Japanese tertiary care hospital」でそれぞれ学位を取得しました。学位を取得した論文は、菊地先生はScientific Reports、中尾先生はFrontiers in
Cellular and Infection Microbiologyにそれぞれ掲載されていますので、興味のある方は是非ご覧ください。

来年度、菊地先生は引き続き検査部教官として、中尾先生は南島原市の泉川病院で呼吸器内科医として勤務される予定です。2人の先生方の今後のご発展をお祈りします。
